Hawk Owls have had an eventful week! On Tuesday, Mr McDowell did his annual Shrove Tuesday pancake tossing assembly. The children learnt about Lent and the reasons for making pancakes on this day. Some children and teachers then had the opportunity to toss pancakes in front of the rest of the children. It was a lot of fun!
Thursday was World Book Day and many of the children came dressed as their favourite literary characters. The Year 6 children came to Hawk Owls class and read with them. It was fantastic to see the children read together with such enthusiasm!
In the process of making the song, we decided to choose a charity for all the money made from the project to go to. After doing some research, we decided on the Save the Children charity. The children felt Christmas is a special time for children and wanted to make sure that every child can enjoy Christmas in a safe environment.
Everything with the project was created on an iPad, the artwork, song and video!
You can watch the video here and then download the song to try and help us get in the charts!
Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas!
